The Devotion of King Bhadrasena
In ancient times Khuldabad was known as Bhadravati, ruled by the noble King Bhadrasena — an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. Sitting by the Bhadrakunda lake, he would sing melodious hymns in praise of Rama.
One day Lord Hanuman, on his journey across the skies, heard the enchanting devotional songs and descended to listen. Mesmerised, he slipped into the yogic Bhava Samadhi — a serene reclining trance. When the king finished and opened his eyes, he was astonished to find Hanuman resting before him. He prayed that the Lord remain there forever, blessing this land and the devotees of Rama.
